THE FUTURE OF ARAB-JEWISH RELATIONS

REJECTING: 1) demand to de-Zionize Israel as prerequisite for Peace; 2) expulsion Israel’s Arab citizens as prerequisite for Zionism

This lecture is a rejection of the Post-Zionist and Arab call to de-Zionize Israel as the pre-requisite for Peace, as well as the racist call to expel all of Israel’s Arab citizens.  It makes the case that Israel can be both a Jewish State and a Democratic State – a state for the Jews and for all its citizens – while retaining the national and religious symbols of its majority, just as other nations do. The Law of Return is to be seen as an example of political affirmative action, not racism – the attempt to remedy 2000 years of statelessness. This lecture will examine these issues as well as Israel’s record on the issue of equality before the law and in practice for its Arab minority.
